6 Pairs of Jeans You Need to Complete your Collection

corporate-style-story-6-pairs-of-jeans-you-cant-live-without

Don’t we all love a good pair of jeans? I practically live in them when I’m not in the office or dressed for meetings.

I’ve recently managed to curate the list of my top 6 pairs of jeans that I’ve been wearing on repeat and so I’ve decided to share these because I think they really can form your capsule collection once you find ones you like in each category.

Each pair is different and really will complete your denim collection. Investing in good quality and well made denim and they should last forever. Even if certain styles go out of fashion, keep them because you can always have them customised, the leg tapered or even ripped to update them.

I’ve linked to a mix of high street and premium denim brands – I find that they all fit so differently that I prioritise this over brand affiliation.

1. The Perfect Weekend Pair

These are my go-to weekend jeans once Spring hits. I tend to always wear these ones from ASOS, but I will say that I replace them quite often because I wear them so frequently and they’re not very long-lasting, but I quite like the fit – the fact that I can buy them depending on waist size and length and different colours. They’re my go-to.

I will occasionally wear these on a night out for drinks with the girls with heels but largely, these are day time wear out on about on the weekends with the family.

2. The Extreme-Ripped Pair

The ones I’m wearing in this photo are from Mother Denim which is a brand I found scrolling through Instagram (love them). These are sold out, but I have found some similar ones below. With the extreme rips, I tend to wear these dressed up or out for brunch with the girls but I always get complements on the style, they’re great with mules like I’m wearing in the pic here.

3. The Super Flattering Straight-Leg Pair

Every woman needs a pair of straight leg jeans i.e. not too skinny and not too baggy and without rips. These are easy to wear and you don’t need to worry about ‘fitting’ into them. These are the jeans that you wear to the office on a Friday, are super flattering and are cropped to the ankle. Pair with kitten heels in spring and ankle boots in Winter.

These ones I’m wearing are from Find. an Amazon brand, they come up a little generously and the smallest size is size 8, so I’ve suggested some others below.

When I speak at careers events about dressing for work, I tell all students that it’s this kind of denim that they should wear to the office if they choose to on a Friday, smart, no rips and not too tight.

4. The Flared Pair

This has been one of my favourite denim styles for years, but our penchant for skinny and now straight leg jeans have meant that this style has previously been pushed to the side. But not for long!

This style is really flattering, I go for a skinny fit on the thighs with a slight flare from the calf and this is really good for evening out the leg even if you think you are bottom-heavy. This style looks best with heels.

5. The High Waisted Pair

I recently did a poll on Instagram Stories and asked my followers their preference for high-waisted vs. low waist jeans and it was almost unanimous that most women who answered, preferred high-waisted jeans. I have certainly preferred them recently. They’re easier to style, they’re flattering and hold in the tum when necessary ;-).

My current favourites are the Levi’s high-rise pair, which are the pair I’ wearing in this photo also, the denim is super stretchy, making them really comfortable but as they’re Levi’s, the denim is good quality so I don’t feel like they need replacing too often.

6. The Cropped Pair

I have only discovered this shape recently, but they are another pair I can’t live without. They’re usually only seen in Spring with ankles when the weather gets warmers, but I also like wearing them with a heeled, knee-high boots underneath for a different look and also to extend the wear through colder weather, making them a great transitional piece you’ll wear all year round.

So what do you think? Have I missed any? I did think about including white jeans, but they’re notorious difficult to wear (never mind keep clean) and I thought that most people will hopefully find the fit that they like and buy them in white!

I as well as my buddies appeared to be studying the good points found on your web site and all of a sudden developed an awful feeling I never expressed respect to the web site owner for those strategies. My women became for this reason stimulated to see them and have now extremely been making the most of these things. I appreciate you for getting indeed accommodating as well as for deciding upon this sort of nice information millions of individuals are really desperate to be aware of. My very own sincere apologies for not expressing appreciation to you earlier.
